    this oval cut .... is this police fender? how dose this cut work?
    this is on 46FL so this bike might be former police/// :any other way to ID police other than the fender??

    That is for the siren roller that engages the tire. On some Knuckle police bikes I have seen an extra toolbox strap on the left rear legs, a third post on the ignition coil, and the TP fix jet carb (I believe it to be).

      That is a cut-out to accommodate the siren as a lot of police bikes had. The dash base might have a little spring arm mounted to the left side to release the speedo lock. Sometimes the carb might be a M75 or M75F.

          No, the VIN doesn't have any build info in it. Merely the sequence when it was built. Without the order info no one knows what it originally was.
