The markings are on all major castings, so steering head, sidecar loops, rear motor mount/seat post, right and left rear axle plates, etc. Some are just a series of numbers and letters, some have a makers hallmark as part of the markings. As stated the information is listed in Palmer's book (with some new info being found since publication of the 2nd edition more will be in the new 3rd edition). Prior to October 1944 every joint on the frame was brazed. After that most joints, except the neck, were welded.Be sure to visit;
