'40 Knuck on ebay - Will it reach new heights!

About 20 years ago I attended a Mid-America Auction, the pedecessor of Mecums in Vegas, at the Tropicana. Jerry Chin had a bike very similar to this one with all of the same equipment, accessories, riding gear and paraphanailia there for sale. I thought the bike sold that day but I have no idea to who. When I saw that Todd had this bike I assumed that it was the same bike and that he had bought it at the auction. Does anyone know for certain if this is or is not the bike that Jerry Chin previously owned?

Anyone who believes Todd's BS videos is setting themselves up for a fall. Hopefully without it involving a large sum of money...

??? What the heck are You talking about??? You make it sound like it's two different people that you're talking about duffey. If You watch the numerous video's, especially the one i posted, You will see at 2:35 --that Todd Bertrang--the "owner" of the 1940 Police 'Special Order' Knucklehead, explains the Complete History & Documentation.Originally posted by duffeycycles View PostAnd you believe him??? I told you what Todd told me.Not someone else making up this story. You believe what you want to believe.I'm done here.

That's kinda strange duffey!? That 1940 M/C is super duper well documented, with a photo history and original title. Todd sometime swaps out some of the original worn pieces, but replaces them with period NOS/OEM. Looks like he crossed this path with some questionable inquiries prior, so he did this video.Originally posted by duffeycycles View PostJOJO,Todd told me this was not a police bike & he added some police parts & called it a police bike.Do you still want to buy a bike & story from him?He reminds me of a local used car salesman that sold a 4,500 mile sporty. When you pushed the button on the speedo,it had 27K.He was showing the trip odometer & had a good story to go with it.

Surprised everyone "Doesn't" mention the sellers name? Long standing AMCA member, with the exception of a few ousts over the years, and founder of the Los Angeles Chapter of the AMCA & Hunting Harleys fame--Todd Bertrang.
As far as Todd singlehandedly manipulating the Vintage M/C market, i find that totally amazing! Why is there zero mentioning of Glenn Bator--Mecum--Bonhams or Snot-HE Buys*(Sotheby's) Auctions?
In my opinion, for what it's worth, i personally feel that Todd has spent a tremendous amount of time & resources, completing a visual & invaluable history, in regard to the Motorcycles he's collected and sold, and the circumstances of his expertise. Then, passed it on to anyone willing to share in his passion.
*PS: Besides, i can think of a few anonymous AMCA members asking and selling outrageous prices on eBaY, instead of using the AMCA member free ads.
