Can someone help identify this Cam Cover? (its heavy)

    Hi,
Could anyone help me identify this cam cover? I think it's from a Knuck, even though it came off a Pan/Shovel.
It weighs a lot more than most other cam/timing covers i've handled.
    Thanks in advance!

That sand casting was used in early 1940 and then again in the early 1950's. Mid 1940 it was replaced by the Alcoa built permanent mold cover which was used into the early 1950's when this HD built cover reappeared minus the overhead oil hole. That being said the casting date on the 2nd photo suggests that this was originally an early 50's cover which someone has drilled for knucklehead overhead oiling.

Another thing, can you explain the casting date?

So the 120 number inside the casting means December of 1950?
          (12 = Dec. and 0 = 1950).
