delco horn restoration

Have a Delco Remy 16 horn, that needs a new rear strap. Anyone have experience replacing the staked on rear mounting strap? I need to know how best to remove it, and how to re stake it. Have found replacement strap but not that center post.

I have heard that a guy called Mutt is the Delco horn man to go to.

Would like to just do it myself, maybe chuck it up and turn off a few thou from stud, etc. Want to hear from someone with some knowledge of the horn assembly.

I have replaced many, drill through center to release washer and bracket, post is not available, I made several.

exactly what i was looking for, Is the post loose in there once you drill from rear ?

The coil is wound on a paper washer, once I was lucky and pulled the coil off the pin, all the other times I had to rewind the coil on a new paper washer, there are two paper washers on the side.
