Thanks to all for the various options.

PRG - very interesting information about Cad plating stainless spokes. I've had stainless steel chrome plated with much success, but never tried cadmium plating. In addition to my 18" OEM spokes, I have several sets of 16" stainless spokes taken from wheels that I've restored over the years. I may try cad plating a couple of those sets to see how they hold up.

Carl Olsen - I've purchased some of your stuff before and it's always been top-notch (especially your peek-tipped fuel shut-off rods). If I choose to buy new, I'll certainly be in touch.

I believe David Sarafan and the Olsens sell 18" cad spoke sets.
