Step hub bent. Repair?

I don't see any indication the braze joint gave away, looks like the flange is bent. I think we can fix it here, but no guarantees. If the brazing should crack, It's not the end of the world, we just re-work that joint. If you want me to take a look at it send me a PM.

I wish I could find a good step hub for $135. If anyone has one I'll take it.

I love the forums. Every time I mention something I sold on Fleese-Bay. Everybody wants it. The first time I put that hub up it didn’t sell at a $100.00. The second time I had a two man bidding war which got me a whopping $135.00. The stuffs out there, you just got to take the time to look.
As far as my earlier post. I’m not stating that it can’t be fixed. Anything can be fixed for a price. That hub is in rough shape. At what point financially do you say uncle. Bob L

Why not just replace the races? The small race can be replaced with a 45" male rod race and the large one with an iron head Sportster rod race. It takes some specialty grinding but is easily done. OD grind (Centerless grinding)material off the races and ID grind material from the hub. Make it a press fit. Lap them in and install standard bearings.
