    Here are some case numbers that I have.
    Maybe you can help me identify them.

    The first case is elc. md. 1916, L 13074 M, with belly #'s N 848, The next one is left side case belly # J 194. The next one has been stamped with 1919 #'s but is a 1916 and down case. Not good #'s with belly #'s of P 4, Next is a Left side case with belly #'s of T21. This case has some funny lettering on it, with writing on the inside. Baker 15 Dodge, CB 15, belly #'s of T21CB.

          This was just a greasy case till I cleaned it up. Cannon Ball Baker didn't race for Harley in 1915 at Dodge City. This case was bought 12 years ago at a swapmeet. It looked to me like the writing had been on there many years. Did Baker ever race for Harley?

            L-13074-m

            Marsh:

            You already know the basics, but here also are the 3 models this motor could have been used in.

            H-D motor number: "L-13074-M"

            The "L" prefix stands for "Electric model"
            The "M" suffix stands for model year 1916
            13074 is the sequential motor number

            In addition, here are the 3 models this motor could have been used in:

            16J = Kickstart w/3-speed (domestic)
            D-16J = Double-pedal starter w/3-speed (domestic)
            F-16J = Kickstart w/3-speed (foreign)
