I've been building a Shovel/Servi Trike. I got to fire it up last Sunday and took a maiden voyage around the yard. The only major problem that I had was the gearing. Way too high. I think if I could have mustered up a good roll, I could have done 50 mph in first gear.
This is how it was set-up. Cone Shovelhead motor, 22 tooth comp sprocket, Stock Shovel 4-speed clutch basket(I don't remember how many teeth are on there), 20 tooth sprocket on the trans, and 37 teeth in the Servi-car rear-end. Also I guess I should add that I'm running FL gears in the transmission (15x20).
If this will work here is a short vid of my ride.

I'm working to change the 20 tooth sprocket on the trans down to a custom made 18 tooth sprocket to see if that helps.
Any suggestions on how to get the gear ratios on this thing ridable? Am I moving in the right direction with the 18? Is that going to be enough?
