I did manage to find and do a Screen shot of the 1936 VL 'tubular' rear stand from a YouTube Steve Slocombe AMCA judging video.

Just to add to the confusion (mostly mine) take a look at the pic below. The bike is 31VL3141 and the number plate looks like it says 'CAL 32' with a big 8 above that. Being from down under I'm not sure how that works so does it mean the registration renewal is due in Aug '32 or it was last paid in Aug '32?

If it's due in Aug '32, and assuming it's not years behind, then look at the rear stand, that's what we believe to be a '34/35 stand.
If it was last paid in Aug '32 then the stand could've been replaced and the owner is some years behind in rego renewal.

The bike also has the '32 onwards fuel filter and a post '31 muffler so it's made it into '32, and perhaps beyond, at least.
