  • 28' JD exhaust guides

Do any of ya'll know what would be a good insert or replacement guide the 28' JD exhaust guides? It looks like mine are cast in and cracked in 5 places in the exhaust port.

Some of the JD's on the cannonball were running valve guides made out of used Harley twin cam guides. Jerry

Rowdy I guess you have to machine on all dimensions but the real advantage is that they are cheap and will run without lubrication or at least not much. I sent you a PM.

          Good morning to all,
A friend of mine found a 1928 JDL. My question is ....did harley make a 1928 JDL factory racer, and where can I find some pics of it.
I'm just trying to help a friend. I found some pics of a 1928 JDL sport solo, but none of a factory racer. any help would be greatly appreciated.
          Thanks,
          Stan.........................runnlo

            Rowdy,

Here is a link to the guides that I use. I have been using them for year with no problems. They are $7.00 each, but you can cut one in half to make two guides.

            Hope this helps.
