  • RL Horn Brackets

Looking for a set of Horn brackets as pictured to mount a Horizontal horn on a 37-38 RL springer front end. Found them on Replicant parts site but no longer available and I can find no other supplier. My understanding is that the RL brackets were specific to 37-39 and while similar they're longer and have different angles than the VL brackets. Any help is appreciated!

'37-'38 WL not RL & originals have always been hard to find.

These fitted the 1936 RL and the 1937-39 WL while they still had the I-beam forks on the small twin. I would say they should be chromed like the 1936 VL ones. Maybe the Servicar ones were black, but I've seen these with a hole in one side which I don't understand. Yes, they're hard to find and more info appreciated.

            Thanks for the feedback.
For clarity I'm working on a 39 WLDD still trying to sort out what is and isn't correct on the bike. My intention is to install the missing ride control (which appears to have been mounted lower and adjacent to the springs vs at the top/above style) and in conjunction I'm sorting out the proper horizontal horn assembly and brackets. As per the attached pics I see the shorter brackets on pics of the 36 VL and found the VL version brackets which are reproduced by Replicant. The longer ones for bottom style ride control seem to be less common and more difficult to find and my assumption at this point is that the WL style were built longer to accommodate movement of bottom mounted ride control? That's only a guess and without examples in hand I'm simply going off online pics and what I can find in my books. For what it's worth the Harley 45 Solo "Spare parts" book lists 4859-36 and 4860-36 as the part numbers for the "right and left horn brackets" to fit 1936-39. In any event, my only option at this point appears to be making something or switching to top mount style RC both of which seem less than ideal. If someone comes across a set or knows of a reproduction option please keep me in mind.
            Regards
