Is there a correct way to repair the vin pad and what are the correct style and size for the letters and numbers. The cases are A-11. Daytona motor all original, dates all match and still has the Dow Metal pistons. I would really like to get the vin pad repaired before I put the bike back together

Also at some point I guess someone wanted to run a generator on the 48 WR engine and hacked up the magneto pad. Any Ideas? I'm thinking form it up and pour aluminum from 1945 engine case (old and beat up} that I have. I don't know what the proper way to repair is is, if there is one. this bike runs a side mount Wico
