    VL Footboard Supports

    VL Footboard Supports.

Can anyone please advise me the positioning of the VL footboard supports pictured. I have numbered them for identification.

One also has a longer thread. What was this used for?

Hi Phill, the 2 with the same length square section go on the right hand side. Those look like #2 & #3 in your photo. I'm sure I've read somewhere that the one with the longer thread goes to the front possibly to pick up a sidecar brake bracket or similar. So #2 right side front & #3 right side rear. On the left side the shorter of them, #1 goes to the rear leaving #4 for the front.

    Hope that helps.

      Thanks Pete,

That's what I thought without knowing the reason for the longer thread. I was pretty sure that the two of the same length went on the brake side but not whether the one with the longer thread went to the front or the back. You explanation sounds feasible.

      I'll give you a call.

      Regards
      Phill
