  • Harley Davidson WL squeaks

Hello Forum, my WL was refreshed with new cylinders, pistons, piston rings and valves. Everything worked fine for the first 600 km, then I started to get a squeak noise when kick starting....
I was told it could be the clutch plates, which in fact were worn and I also refreshed them, but the noise is still there.
    check the video:

Could any of you give me some hints on what it could be and how to fix?

thank you and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you!

My guess is one of your head gaskets is leaking.

Pull a sparkplug or two, Ed!

And see if it still does it.

You aren't running copper head gaskets with aluminum heads, are you, Ed?

With the plugs back in, kicking it with soap suds around the gaskets might pin-point problems.

Snoop particularly over the intake and exhaust ports....

        Let us know!

PS: I really swear by torsion torquewrenches: 55 ft-lbs cross-cross pattern, of course.
