Hopefully this is an easy one. Does anyone know the thread size and length of the screw that holds the electrical wire on the connection.

According to the 1941-54 parts book it is part number 2586, 6-32 by 1/2 inch round head machine screw. -
6-32 -1/2 long is wrong at least with the 6/32. And I believe 1/2 might be a little too long. Maybe 8-32 I'm going to try to run a 8-32 tap through it . I will just use my hand on the bit to see if this is correct.Comment

Just goes to show you can't believe everything in a Harley parts book. Checked a couple of light bases and they are 8-32. 3/8 long would be plenty.Comment
