I rode my 1931 VL 70 miles and then opened trans filler snout to check oil. When I removed filler top. a fair amount of oil flowed up out of the filler snout. I believe I had the trans overfilled and the heated oil expanded. Is there a vent in this transmission that should have relieved this pressure? I am wondering if I have a clogged vent. Thanks.

Peter, if possible, i would very much appreciate if you could provide a picture of that detent spring and even better if you could tell me the length, o.d., number of coils and the diameter of the wire. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.Originally posted by Peter Cooke View PostIt vents through the plunger Buster.Steve Swan
