  • Rubber covered metal base gaskets

I have a set and was wondering if they are reusable. I tore down my top end with less than 1000 miles on rebuild for a leaky nipple. (1937U)The base gaskets still look good. Just wondering if new ones are recommended as they are close to $30 a set new.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile....

    Hope so, huh, Matt!

There is no doubt that the manufacturer would say no.

No provider in his right mind would declare his product re-useable.

There is some internal crankcase pressure on that joint. Not much but it needs some sealing, otherwise it will weep.
