  • 1949 WL Stop Light Switch & Hardware

Anyone have a good couple of pictures showing the correct set up for the Brake Light Switch AND its Return Spring AND the Puller (that I believe acts as a wire to keep the rear wheel locked when changing the tire)?

    Thanks!

The clamp on puller is not part of the brake light switch mechanism on a 45, however it does act as a stop for the purpose of locking the brake. It is mounted on the rear brake rod wher it can be loosened, rotated and tightened to hit the rear chainguard front mounting bolt head to lock the rod. The brake switch uses a longer pull wire than big twins and it attaches directly to the brake pedal. So switch attached to cross shaft at side rail, spring, pullwire to pedal, that is the whole assembly. If you have a generic brake switch kit the pull wire will be too short.

Robbie, just finished getting mine all setup after getting rid of the Chinese solution. Just as a double check, can you post a pick of the brake light switch and springs but from the side? Want to see which holes on the brakes pedal you have everything going to. Thanks

I think I could benefit from such an image as well.

(Don't know why I cannot seem to upload the image straight)

            "Piano" Wire to Brake Pedal

I am missing that Piano Wire entirely.
Anyone know the thickness of the wire?
Anyone know the length of the wire?
Anyone know the exact hole it attaches to on the brake pedal side?
I assume I will have to make up the bends myself to create it.

            Thanks!
