  • ’35 VL Rear Stand Catch

I need some dimensional help for the holes on the rear mudguard (’35 VL) to mount the rear stand catch. What I am looking for is the center-to-center distance between two holes - the top hole for the rear stand catch and the lower hole for the tail lamp/license plate bracket. I seen several photos and the distance looks roughly 1-1/2” but I'd liked to be sure before drilling. With the hole for top of the catch, I figure out the lower hole.
    Thanks, William

Looks like 1 7/8th inches on one of my bikes, but these are new mudguards so I would have guessed too. Check out VL Heaven Website new additions for another measurement up from the rear mudguard tail.

On my '34 VLD the distance from the bottom of the fender to the bottom hole of the rear catch is 3.00" . The taillight shroud should dictate where the taillight holes go . I'm too lazy to take off my license plate , but I will if this does not answer your question .
