Well the truth is most of my 'barn finds' were not actually found in a barn but I have drug them out of basements, wood sheds, porches, granary's, garages, iron piles, fence lines and yes even a barn. Found at least one at a thrift sale, a few at auctions but the trick is to keep your eyes and ears open and pursue all leads diligently with bulldog tenacity.

Chris I have seen pictures of your stuff. The only reason you do not have 100 G's of expendable cash in your hand is totally due to stubbornness or as I have heard some say - stupidity. I will admit that I have a lot of extra stuff but it pales in comparison to what I have seen in your possession. In fact, I one time heard you remark when someone asked if it was for sale 'that's my wife's job after I die'. I cannot think of a more inappropriate comment.
Do you actually think I just always have the cash available. In the last 2 weeks I have purchased a 1942 FL bobber, this 1939 WLD and an early 50's pan chopper in a knucklehead frame (haven't even told anybody about this yet). I made some decisions and moved out some stuff that I knew I would never get to, or had fallen out of favor or was more than I cared to tackle. It is not always easy but the world goes on.

A friend recently told me that if I sold all my stuff that I may be rich. My response was that if I sold everything all I would have is cash. When that was gone I would have nothing. :-)Be sure to visit;
