    Anyone have the head bolt torque and valve lash specs for a 34 VD 74 cu in.?

    They did not have torque specs..Most flatheads are .005 intake .007 exhaust

        Back in the '60's when I asked my local dealerships wrench for a torque setting his reply was "Tight is tight and too tight is broken".

          I run 0.004" clearance on the inlet valves, 0.006" on the exhaust valves, and pull up the heads to 60 pounds feet with iron heads, then go over the bolts again by hand the first time the engine gets hot. Run a tap through all the head bolt threads first. Stay away from blue Teflon head gaskets.

              Do not retighten the bolts when hot..3 short warm cycles with cool down..then check to see if tight
