You can't used a 3 bolt trans & later rear brake with this frame. The chain won't line up to 3 bolt trans...the shift gate also needs to match

Roger, That is a 3 bolt frame. The third mount is cut off, just like the fender cross piece, battery box tab, and clutch cable perch. All fixable, but someone had some custom idea in mind that never came to fruition. Most likely a Brit 4 speed conversion that died in some early planning stage. Very common on old H-D parts...

        Dear Rubone,
you are very right. The forging number is UE-735TFA at this peace.
What do you mean, is it worth to repair and weld on the cut off peaces? Or should I scrap it.

For reply, thank you in advance

        Greetings from Black Forest

Fix it, not all that hard to do as all the major casting appear to be intact. Everything you need is either already available or easily fabricated.

            Dear Rubone,
            thank you for help.
I will go to Oley this Year, to the AMCA swapmeet.
I was there last year too.
Maybe I will find some stuff for welding on.
            Another Question.
I have a 55 FLE Police, but made to civil.
I want to rebuild a Police bike.
Where can I get informations about police bikes?
The other thing is, there are 6 bolt pans on the bike, but the heads are 54 with twelve bolts.
Is it posible they had assembled 54 stock heads?
The VIN is 55 FLE 39xx with title.
            Thank you in advance.
            Do you go to Oley?
            Greetings

            Danny

Forget Oley, make or buy the parts you need.

Where can I get information about police bikes?
              Buy this book - https://www.amazon.com/Harley-Davids...=harley+police

55FLE3900 is mid, it could have had either, you can drill the pan covers if the heads are 12 bolt.

Don't thank me, I didn't post that information, 1950Panhead did. All the frame casting pieces are made in Europe. Find a dealer for Samwell Supplies out of The Netherlands. Police information is relatively scarce but I can help you with some factory literature scans.
