What's a Natter? Also; another fine looking photo of your bike!!

I was hoping "natter" equaled Natural Lite Beer or beer in general.....but found this online from:

Beautiful Restoration Chris. But i don't get the part about finding original parts for the WLA Liberators? The U.S. Government left/stranded tens of thousands all over Europe. You'd have a better chance finding OEM than US Yanks!

That was true 10 years ago, they are getting quite rare now, even the Dutch guys are going to the states, Trouble is a lot where in the Soviet Union (as was) so that's not an easy option ! plus the European weather has turned a lot of the 60 year old barn finds into rust !
The other thing was the 49 WLA was a miss match of the current 1949 civilian model and whatever the factory had left from WW2.
So such things as the WW2 gear box is the wrong way round for the 1949. (Shifted in reverse).
Lights, screens, speedometer, tank dash, frame all different. so it was quite difficult to resource bits without going repo.
