    You've probably seen these before. The roller is real pitted. Question: Do you drill out the axel? Press it out? How do you remove this one and install the new axel ?

    DCoul!

    Get a carbide "spade" drill, and only relieve each side to where the pin can then be drifted out safely.

        I'm assuming that the tool also flares the ends of the axel.

          Yes,or the tool breaks in half if you do it wrong..I've had one for many years.I pull up tight in vise,tap the tool with brass drift[not in instructions,my way],tighten vise etc...If you go too far it will bind the roller.Make sure you are centered first,between the balls.
