    1947 Servi-Car Speedometer ratio

What's correct? My local speedometer guru won't rebuild HDs. There seems to be plenty of used and reproduction ones around, but I don't know if I need a 2:1 or 1:1.

    Thanks,
    Rich

Rich Stock would be 2:1 - that is if you have the original drive in it.

I believe, if I'm correct that 47 is a one year only speedo , and if I'm not correct I'm sure there will be many posts telling me so. Anyway if you have an original one on the bike it would be better to rebuild it. I've ran many repo speedos in my life and nothing can compare with an original Stewart Warner Harley speedometer plus it's the first thing you see when you sit on the bike and weather your doing a total restore or a runner nothing says cheep like a crappy speedo. So if you have the original call John.
