Another quick update. I used the Linkert carburetor adjustment that is found in numerous websites. Couldn't get my Linkert dialed in. I found the following and now it seems pretty dialed in.

damn! Can't cut and paste. Its at : wildriders.org/threads/carb_adjust.pdf

A little more detailed that other adjusting method for Linkerts.

I’ve attached a couple photos of the aftermarket points I received from J and P and NOS HD #30605-48A. The NOS fit over the post on the timer head and the aftermarket does not. Also notice how much larger the face of the point contacts are on the NOS. Also the photo on Jand P website looks like the set that was on my bike either red fiber spacer but what I received is the brass spacer shown.E90B703F-816F-48DF-9F18-36B411007FEE.jpgF2D7F7D0-D865-43C0-9C67-8AC0655DCA85.jpg2F662209-E428-4EC0-9FFF-855C19A48B27.jpg

I took it out of the package myself. I don't know when it was made but that is the correct number and the package was HD #30605-48A, and unopened.
