photo identified as "Renaudeau on a Dé-Dé 250 at the start of the Paris-Nice, 9th March 1928"

(not V-twin and not belt drive....but it does appear to have two exhaust headers?)

I recall Greg Williams, 'Pulp Non-Fiction' in our club magazine discussed a single motor that had 2 exhaust headers. Seems like that was early in a '21, or late '20 issue.

For a period of time "Twin Port" and "Dual Port" engines were quite popular among almost all the English and French and other European engine builders. However the one pictured appears to be a loop scavenged two stroke with the carb mounted low on the side like that. Many were smaller displacement 4 strokes, 250, 350, 500.
