  • Contact Braker Unit Removal

Have a '67 T120R, I need to remove the contact braker unit. Can anyone tell me if this can be done without the use of special service tool D782. Thank you, R.C.

On a 68 T100 you can use the front tank draw down bolt. Same thread & OD. Use rubber mallet gentil like, to ease it out. Tapered press fit. Some have locateing pin on shaft. Maybe mark it -before you pull it.

: It was a long time ago. I remember that I made a tool using a hardened bolt that I ground to fit inside the shaft. Then I think that with a few taps with a hammer the backer plate came off> Good luck, R.C.
