Anyone knows if the copal was used on the patent and FLH decals on a 1958? If not, what was the method used?

I found an original paint 1937 last year. The clear varnish had yellowed with years. It was clear that the entire tank and fenders were varnished. Not just the transfers.Be sure to visit;

Yup, been there done that! Twice. Enlightening.....I noticed some of their '30's & '40's "original" bikes had some incorrect parts per the prevailing information and opinion that is about, but then what do I know, on the whole neat and well done I'd take any one of them. Just wish they would display the complete linage from beginning to about 1960 so one could see the subtle evolution from year to year.

Sadly, some years ago, the miscreants that were in charge of the factory collection decided that bikes with minor paint damage should be restored. Unfortunately whoever did the restorations didn't know their parts too well and a lot of stuff got switched. I have seen stepped hubs on the post 1939 pikes and non-stepped hubs on earlier models. The people who made the decision to restore those bikes should be placed in stocks in front of the museum so the public can give then the respect they deserve.Originally posted by ronald View PostYup, been there done that!
