Even with some car trouble, I made it to Maggie Valley a few hours ago...man is this place cool!! It was overwhelming when I walked in, I didn't even know where to start. I am definitely glad I am going to be here a week. Dale has some really cool stuff planned for me to work on so stay tuned!

You will have a blast a Dales Wheels Through Time. Dale and Crew are all good people and are seriously into old bikes.

    Thanks!!

I talked to Dale earlier today and everything is set for me to come down tomorrow to spend some time at the Wheels Through Time museum. I am leaving bright and earlier in the morning and as long as everything goes as planned should be there sometime late afternoon or early evening. I can't wait!!

Thanks a lot guys. That was the first time I did any serious body work and it was really cool to see all the hard work I put in getting it smooth pay off after the paint was sprayed on.

Then everyone in the club could check it out too. I’ll lend you my trailer if you need it or you can ride over there with rest of us. LOL -Steve

I plan on being at Wauseon but the bike won't be done yet. Depending on when my last day of school is, I will hitch a ride back to South Dakota with the Olsen's from Wauseon or fly out sometime the week after and get the bike ready for Sturgis.

Hey..... You still going to ride your other bikes when this one is complete?
Thanks, I want to get out riding as much as I can now before I go back to South Dakota because once I get back I don't think I will be putting too many miles on anything else. I actually got the honda out today for the first time this year...it got stuck in the snow a few times trying to get it out of my shed but it was well worth it.

Now it just needs a bath!

Thanks for the kind words guys.
Larry and I got a lot of paint done yesterday. First thing in the morning I got to see the decals that I will be using. The first day I was at Larry's I saw these decals laying around and really wanted to use something like them. He took them to his decal guy and had a couple made up with the color changed a little. They were originally red.

Here is the paint we will be using.

I had to decide on a gray to use. We made the gray by just mixing black and white...it took a little bit of time but I think we got it perfect!

After all the paint was mixed and ready, I had to sand everything one last time with 400 grit sand paper and then wipe everything down with a tack cloth.

Once the gray was all sprayed and dried, we started laying out the tape. This by far was the most time consuming thing we did. It probably took a couple hours to get everything just right.

Here it is all ready for the black!

Seeing as I am learning from a master painter, I figured I should look like it...Here I am painting the fender.

It was like Christmas morning ripping all the tape off to see what was underneath.......I am really happy with it but you can judge for yourselves...
