In some early pics, it's a red wire, ~ it's a 3/8" SS threaded rod and 2 Heim joynts. Added a left side strap, to mock the right side 'as original' strap anchor across the two tubes, that was the original backing plate stay location. the Heim rod piece is only 3" +/-- long. attachment point is @ the top. The SS brake hoses & fittings are '' OFF the SHELF '' XPR made

soon, ALL the ugly bolts will be replaced with 'hot' crowned rivets, as stock. wait till I show ya what simple , yet very useful mod we did to the rear fender
