I'm not challenging your viewpoint for I have no knowledge of the topic. I wonder, however, how anyone would switch over to acetylene when originally there was electric from the get go.

Success !! We kicked it over on ether and had ignition. The attached video is not the longest running example but proves it will run.

Which therefore leads me to the next basic question. Was there a 'kill' switch? I learned from my earlier post that the stock Splitdorf Magneto was replaced with a Bosch mag/gen combo unit of the era. After reading Bosch's Magneto Service Manual I learned of the internal designed Interrupter ( circuit Breaker ). However, there is no information as to the way to ground out the circuit. I'm embarrassed to ask but here it goes. ... How was it stopped ??
