I haven't bench tested the engine, just going to hope and pray. I appreciate the help Len, I'll let you know what I here from LenOriginally posted by len dowe View PostAlan,
Was wondering if the motor has been bench tested yet to see how she fires.
p.s. Hope Terry has a front end for you, if not I'll look in Fremont for one. I'm taking a lot of small 45" parts to sell as well.Al Cournoyer

Alan, you're doing such a good job on your bike. I know you have been through the ringer on the frame, but it looks like there is light now visable at the end of the tunnel. I see projects like your's and I think it is so noble to resurrect a running, usable motorcycle from parts, pieces, and dump truck loads of persistance, and will power. O.P. bikes may be a touchstone to the past, but they were just lucky to survive. You're bringing one back from the dead.Eric Smith

Eric, thank you so much. The bumps in the road are actually pretty funny when it's all said and done and the lights at the end of the tunnel. One thing I have been thinking about through this build is, yeah, I could have got a bike for probably the same or less of what I've spent to build this one. But like you said, this frame has a new life, the engine has a new life. It's going to be alive again and that's frigging awesome. And hell, maybe my kid will ride it somedayOriginally posted by exeric View PostAlan, you're doing such a good job on your bike.
