    Finished my rear hub rebuild

Waiting on the spokes and wheel.

I am at the point where I will need a springer fork assembly '42-'52 preferred if anyone out there wants to part with one

      Alan,
Was wondering if the motor has been bench tested yet to see how she fires.
p.s. Hope Terry has a front end for you, if not I'll look in Fremont for one. I'm taking a lot of small 45" parts to sell as well.

So I found a front end, waiting patiently for its delivery. I finally finished up my resto of the primary cover

And have laced up my rear wheel. Next up is my first try at truing, we shall see how that goes

Rear wheel installed, the rear fender needs work to follow the radius of the tire

Fixed the radius on the rear fender as well as a mock up of the exhaust, tail light and shroud and handlebars. Next step is to take it apart for paint

Alan, you're doing such a good job on your bike. I know you have been through the ringer on the frame, but it looks like there is light now visable at the end of the tunnel. I see projects like your's and I think it is so noble to resurrect a running, usable motorcycle from parts, pieces, and dump truck loads of persistance, and will power. O.P. bikes may be a touchstone to the past, but they were just lucky to survive. You're bringing one back from the dead.

Eric, thank you so much. The bumps in the road are actually pretty funny when it's all said and done and the lights at the end of the tunnel. One thing I have been thinking about through this build is, yeah, I could have got a bike for probably the same or less of what I've spent to build this one. But like you said, this frame has a new life, the engine has a new life. It's going to be alive again and that's frigging awesome. And hell, maybe my kid will ride it someday

Springer is complete, front fender and headlamp on. Also added a bit of detail to the battery box
