Ok folks here's one for you. I was at my buddy's looking at a pre 65 tranny and when I went to look for a casting date I was stumped. I'm used to seeing a letter followed by a number, but not on this one. It has a 3 then a space and another 3 cast into it. It also has a 2E stamped in it. Any ideas?

The 3 3 code was used during the mid '50's. Don't ask what is means of why as that answer hasn't been found yet.Be sure to visit;
