Yes. The case is the same. Is there a small idler gear installed in the bottom of the case?

I personally much prefer 4 speeds forward than 3 speeds forward with a reverse. The first year I ran a sidecar I had a reverse transmission in the bike and ditched it the 2nd year - I never had a problem finding a parking spot that I could drive out of. I have no experience riding a bike with an early reverser although I have rebuilt a few of them. I find the late reverser 'cantankerous'.Originally posted by ldfly112 View PostYes im considering a sidecar. Where is a good source for finding the gearset and would I be better off with the 37 gearset or the 39 and newer
