    WLA 3-speed assembly

Getting almost done with assembling my 3-speed and am working on Adjusting The Shifter Clutches. On page 68 it says " with the shifter cam in neutral, and the highest points on driving dogs overlapped by 1/8"...

Are they talking about the dogs mating with the corresponding low gear by 1/8". And on the other side, the dogs slipping inside the clutch gear by 1/8"?

    Thanks All.

No, they are talking about the space between the dogs and the gears being offset to each other so the dogs are therefore offset approximately 1/8" in order to get a spacing reading between them. The adjustment is the free open space between the dogs, no engagement when measuring.

Thanks again Rubone. I think I got it. I'll know when I can get back in there.
