  • Delco Remy Horn

I would like to install a delco remy horn on my WLA (to replace the replica one I have), someone knows if it possible to open the horn back to install it on the wla backet, I tried to remove it but the central back part doesn't move...

It is possible. The rivet looking protrusion on the back is in fact peened over the data plate washer. It is part of the round steel "core" that the wire wraps on. If you only have one to do it might be better to send it off because it took me a few times to get the first one right.

Does it means that the round plate washer (where is written "Delco Remy 16") is on piece with the rivet...? What happen if I remove the rivet ?
I didn't find any figures concerning of how is assembled this horn!

If you clean up the end (unpeen it) that protudes thru the data plate washer everthing will come apart. I have turned out new center 'cores' or I have used the ones from automotive Delco 16 horns which were sometimes longer to accomodate a thicker bracket.

If you have a original black painted face I have a friend who will trade you a chrome face for it.

                Chris,
Thanks for answering. Is the chrome face in good condition as far as dents and is it brass or steel. The one I have has two small dings. I can send some pictures of it.

Chrome faces are brass. Black painted are steel.

Chris, I would be interested in trading for a brass face as it would be the correct one for my Knuckle. Let me know.
