I would like to have my 1948 panhead coil rebuilt for 6v. Who are my options? Thanks for the help.

fwiw, i replaced the dead internals from a repro JD coil with an Australian Tri-Spark with condensor, both fit perfectly inside. The nice thing about the Tri-Spark is the ht wires unscrew, so you can use your choice of wires. https://www.trispark.com.au/Dual-Lead-6V-Ignition-Coil

Before you throw money at it, Temple,...
Please set it upright, and warm it with a heat lamp until the remains of any plug wires can be pulled out easily.
Let the coil cool, and take plastic soda straws and push them into the potting compound to pull out plugs where the wires go (one is usually deeper than the other).
Cram new wires in until they bottom out, and try it. You have little to lose, and often they work better than a repop!

As an aside, Folks,...
Does anyone have an educated guess as to what the original potting compound might have been?
I don't really need to know, but posterity might find it interesting,
Thanks in advance,
