Brake Shoe Peining Tool

Glenn, any thing other than a hammer is better. I have a lot of Chicago Motorcycle Supply vintage brake linings that are 60 plus years old and there’s nothing wrong with them but there a little brittle, its real east to crack one when you’re whacking with a primitive tool (Hammer). I use that tool in my shop press. I just stick a milling or drill press vise on it to hold the lower tooling and take my time. I’ll admit it’s much easier to have one of my boys doing the pumping so I have both hands free. I’m in the process of trying to rig something up in the press to do the fender rivets that Gerry mentioned earlier in this tread. A 50 ton shop press is a gift from the Gods. Bob L
