Good evening,
I am old member been away for 20 years spending time with family and now I have more time to myself again. I am getting back to an Excelsior engine project I have been trying to build from parts for the last 30 years.
I see some people I have communicated with in the past are still active and I am looking forward to interacting again.

Welcome back Scoot. I can't help but think that if I was building a pre- 36, I would hold more sway in this forum than a meager Panhead builder. None the less, I love you RubOne. Less we are, but not forgotten. Finishing the '60 is kicking my ass for monetary and other reasons. But it was my first. So I shall endeavor to persevere.
Then comes the next one. Thanks all of you. I wish I'd been active in this AMCA since I joined.

Thank you for the replies.
Email notifications started showing up yesterday morning blocked as SPAM and I will try to get worked out. At least they are arriving. So for though they all have quotes as PaulCDF mentioned.

The type of notification was asking about is if someone replies to one of my posts like this "welcome" or I have a want ad and a post in the technical section. I did click subscribe on all of these, but have not receive a reply to my other two posts yet to know.

wanted to let you know that I did receive an email notification from micmac that did not include a quote, so I think the email notices are working like I was wanting. Just wish I would get one to sell me a cam cover and crank pin.

If you're trying to piece a Series 20 together, that's a tough job! X parts have virtually dried up. Not that they were plentiful but over the last 35 years, I've pieced together 6 different versions of 16-24 Big X "kits". I've sold all but 2 and virtually all my spare parts. Do your homework, start at the AMCA virtual library, a few X sales brochures there.

1915 Big X is a one year timing cover with 1 hole and a pronounced bump in the raised cam and lifter area. Series 16-19 are the same, with only 1 hole for the cam support shaft to protrude, and then a nut. The area over the cam and followers is raised, but flat. Series 20-24 is the same as 16-19 other than it has 3 holes. The other 2 holes are for the cam follower shafts to protrude through the cover, again held with a nut. Sorry, I don't have a timing cover. If you have a Series 20 motor, it should have the threaded cam follower shafts. Some earlier motors were converted to three threaded shafts and the cover drilled to fit. So, if you can find a 16-19 cover, it can simply be drilled to fit the longer, threaded shafts. Beware, don't just bore it out, it needs to be a shouldered hole to support the end of the shaft.

15-24 crank pins are the same, pre 15 are shorter. I may have a used one that may be decent enough for minimal use, it was running when it stopped! No oil holes in the pin, splash only. Unless someone messed with the wheels, 14 was the only year the wheel was drilled for oil, same with the pin. Yes, 2 thrust washers on the rods, one each side. Also 1 thrust washer on the drive side flywheel only.

Thank you very much for taking the time to give me the technical information. It has been years, but I believe you are the person who helped me years ago and identified that my engine had an adapter on the intake making it bigger and I had a big valve intake that you traded for some much needed parts that got me further.
I finally brought myself to carefully remove the adapter to find the original threads intact and the braze was just to hold it in place. I will post pictures in the technical question I posted.

I will very much appreciate if you look to see if you do have a crank pin to sell me. If you find it, I will PM you my contact information to figure total with shipping.
