(I once saved an extra-wide printer roller, the hard rubber type, and figured I'd weld a cantilever lift where it would rotate to save the bottom of frames.
Its around here somewhere, I'm sure...)

My K & L retracts to 3-5/8”. It’ll go under a rigid Harley but not much to spare. The bike needs to be upright and not on the side stand and will catch on the exhaust clamp through bolt underneath. That’s on a springer, seems like hydraglides have a little more clearance.
