In response to the stolen motor, I know nothing about it ... But would like to share when i was at Eustis a few years back the vendor had sold me a 45 Basket case Motor that was completly apart in boxes , i paid him and told him i would be back in 20 minutes , he said fine... Now i show up 15 minutes later , his spot is there the motor is there he is no where to be found So i hang out for about 1/2 hour waiting for him never shows so i grab my motor and the boxes . Well back at my buddies vendor spot were going through the boxes checking out the treasures , and we in one of the boxes were these weird pushrods and small parts . (TURNS OUT THEY WERE JD) Now after about an hr and a half the ''Vendor'' came looking for me he was very upset and angry . What was i suppouse to do . It was and honest misunderstanding but i completely believe that its the vendor fault for my prediciment .Im sure that wasnt the case in your case and that sucks. But be aware as a vendor of whats going on , i know its tough to watch everything i was buying at one of the local meets and someone swiped some new parts out of my wagon didnt notice till i got home

just in from my 12 hour trek home from oley
saw almost every type of weather known to man this weekend, hot. warm, cold , down right nasty cold. I was in a tent with no fire pit and only 1 blanket
I think 9 grey fellows were in the display area saturday, another 5 I think were there friday/early saturday but left before the display was presented, and they had to beg some to pull bikes out of trailers to put in the display
found a load of topper parts and an older heilman troxel saddle leather for the excelsior, held a few other parts for it in my hands but I am not donald trump so I had to put them back on the tarp
will try to post pics tomorrow or next day

Got to meet a few more people Bob Luland for one who by the way has a pretty nice lake side estate I wouldn't want to pay his property taxes on that , and also see a few from past Oley meets this year seemed a bit different I think the weather played a roll in that didn't see the amount of people as I did the last few years still had a great time and picked up a few pan partsLast edited by Chuck#1848; 05-01-2011, 10:09 PM.Chuck

Yes, I met quite a few folks and had a great time for sure. I was frankly astonished at the bikes that were there. So rooms are already booked for Wauseon. You guys should have warned me this would happen last fall when I got into this
But it says something of what I have been taught here in the short time I have been paying attention!! As I was walking up to it I started to see things right of the bat, magneto, springer brake stay but no front brake..... He was asking 20K, but he put it away on Friday afternoon and never took it back out, so as far as I know he didn't sell it.Regards;

The theft problem is becoming more and more prevlent. I, for one, would like to see the club take an official position concerning this issue and publish a warning to the general membership making them aware that this problem is increasing at our meets.Bill Pedalino

I remember at Davenport they got on the PA and told what had been stolen. If I remember correctly the thief was caught and dealt with on a personal level.Be sure to visit;
