There is an interesting three (3) page article concerning Franklin Van Order, an early motorcycle racer/photographer, in the April, 2011, issue of the "Smithsonian" magazine.

Seems like a decent glimpse is min 290USD, obviously not for me. Lets hope someone buy a copy of them all to share :-) !!!!!

I don't recall seeing that site before Sverre. Thanks for the link. Do you have a copy of American Racer 1900-1940? Most of the pictures are in that book.

Cory, I hadnt seen that link myself until doing a quick research on the names surfacing in the Smithsonian article. Oh, yes I have had my American Racer book since mid ninties. I worked in Huston when I found that in a bookstore, I bought it immideately :-)
I find there must be quite a few photos not in the book at the web site, they are all super cool anyway.
