    Chris,

I am looking at obtaining a set of 47 FL cases that have had a repair sometime in the past that appears to be in the exact area as your cases.

Question, is this type of damage typical to 47 FL cases??

What may have caused it in the first place.

Do you know if Phil does "re-repair's".... to make the repaired areas unnoticable?

The cases that I am looking at are matched belly numbers, and I have been informed that the cases were ran after the repair.

    Thanks

The case was damaged by a rod wanting to get out.

        case repairs

If you are on the East Coast or Mid Atlantic then I would recommend Arno St. Denis in Maryland at 301-779-0438. He works at home but can do anything there. He has all the jigs and fitment plates required to get things right. I have seen cases that were literally bits and pieces and when he got through you couldn't tell they weren't just cast. He has repair pieces in stock for the normal blow outs and makes whatever else he needs. Like I say you can not tell they were broken and repaired. Same with tranny cases or any other machine work on heads etc.
