Yes it was! I'm still not breathen right. Next year I'm bringing the shop water hoses. That thing with the tractor tire was a trip. He was camped with the guys in the photo of the black knuc and blue 48 pan. No kick stand. When he parked it. It was laying on the ground.

I was camped next to them under the blue tent with the ford truck in one of your photos
It did get quite dusty with the traffic. The two guys were from Maine the one guy said he picked it up down in Mississippi and it was used for dirt drags when I get a chance I will get some photos up of it

Chuck you should really hang on to that spot. They don't come easy in that area and you couldn't ask for better. We got trees. To bad we didn't know each other. I went home with an extra 30 pack. Even though were camping. We like living good. Next year, I'll make a point of it. Bob

Yea, I’ll fess up. That was me. When I go to these meets I try not to take the every day photo. Ya got to admit? For a candid shot that was fantastic! How many times can ya look at a line of JD’s before it gets tiring? There are members on this forum that live in places that may never allow them to come to Oley. I try to show the people and the lay of the land so as they can get a feel of what it was like to be there. Hope ya enjoyed the pic. Bob L

A drag bike with a tractor rear tire? Looks more like a hill climber.

                            Chris,

I thought the same thing myself when they pulled it out of the van. When I was talking to them the owner said that he bought it from an old HD dealer down in Mississippi that used it for dirt drags.
When these guys got this thing running they had a tough time keeping the front wheel on the ground it was by no means a stock motor either.
No matter how you look at it that thing had to be a blast.

It by no means has a stock rear sprocket on it either. Look at the size of that thing. That bike could pull a freight train.

Good eye Chris the rear sprocket is removable by removing the bolts holding it in place around the stock sprocket and I would think it could pull a freight train, I tried to take a video of it but batteries were not up to the challenge, when they were giving her a bit of gas on take off you could plow fields with the sod that thing threw up in the air.
