3 years ago i stood in front of my local waterin hole .........this guy comes down off the hill out back on a 1974ish indian dirt bike , the bike was all there , and ran , $200 .............i passed

I got one out of the local dump many years ago. There was no wiring harness on it and I could never find information or a schematic to fix it. Hooked the battery straight to the coil an run her till the battery went dead, the kids enjoyed her for a number of years. What with them being museum peices now I may have to finish repairing it
Have the 70's 250cc Harley dirt bikes also become high end machines.

When I was a kid I had one of those. It was a lot of fun. I saw the bike in the window of a small motorcycle shop and begged my Father for a month. My Father gave in and I had to pay half. ( Forget the cost ) I delivered a lot of newspapers to pay my half. I would ride around the local back roads untill the cops would see me, then I would cut through a farm or patch of woods. They never caught me and I'm sure that added to the fun of it. I had to go to Sears and buy a metric wrech set to work on the bike. ( There was not one metric tool in my Fathers tool Chest at the time ) I ended up trading the bike to a kid at school for a guitar and amp, but I still have the same wrench set. Those were the days.Comment
