    Eustis meet

Working on next years vacation plan and would like to hit the Eustis meet in 2011. I have been to Wauseon and Davenport several times and swear they are the best every year.
How does Eustis compare? Is "on site" camping available the same as the others? Close motel availability? (wife isn't much for camping)

      Eustis

Hello, I've been going to Eustis since year 1 & it's not the big show. But, it's warm & usually some great pieces show up. If you like Florida, It's central, & calm. Eustis is a peaceful place with minimum B S going on. I dig it !!! Big Jesus 151

Went to Eustis, D-Port and Wauseon last year
Eustis is way smaller but for those of us in the snow it is WARM.
If it is any indication of what I think I leave Wednesday.
        Hope to see you there.

I vote for Oley, it's just a nice meet, place & people. Plenty of old bikes & parts. Great time of year.
          Regards Dave

While Oley is not the largest meet, it is my favorite too. Wonderful rural PA in the springtime. Usually great weather. The meet is on the grounds of the Oley Volunteer Fire Dept, which has their bar open to anyone from the meet. The Reading Motorcycle Club's clubhouse is just down the road and their doors are open to folks attending the AMCA meet. Lotsa great old memorabilia on display there. Don't forget to go to Tailgater's Sports Bar for a great steak, which you cook yourself on the central charlbroiler. The only drawback to Oley is hotels are 13 miles away. Still a nice ride in the PA countryside. :-)

I was at Oley one year when it dropped down to freezing during the night. I was walking past a tent camper who was just comming out of his tent. His morning greeting was; " #$ck this, I'm goin' home!" Later that day it got into the low 70's. Eustis can be a less harsh similarity of Oley weather and just as unpredictable.

Oley can be a scary place weather wise. Two years ago it rained but that’s the usual. Last year we didn’t get there until Friday. My sons and I froze Friday night in the tents. By Saturday afternoon it toped ninety degrees. Saturday and Sunday were the two hottest day of the summer in the north-east. At Oley come prepared for anything. Our vender spot is 150’ from the bar. There’s always a good side. Best East coast meet there is. Bob L

I agree Oley is the best meet of all. It must have broken Doc Patt's heart when he exiled himself.

I haven't had the opportunity to attend the Eustis meet yet. I will yet someday. Oley is always a great meet for me. Been there in all types of weather and still enjoyed myself. Wauseon has taken me heart. It gets better and better every year. Davenport is definately the biggest and I get to attend now and then. Truthfully......I would luv to hit them all if I could !

I can't remember an Oley that I didn't freeze my a$$ off at least 1 night. That's why you have to go to the Fire House every evening to fill up on anti - freeze !!! Big Jesus 151 Bacardi
