Having just retrieved the November Motorcyclist mag. from the mailbox, I had me a good sit down and read through the first 30 or so pages. On page 16 is an article about the guy who now owns the original Metisse frame/motorcycle company (www.metisse-motorcycles.com) in England. He's building an exact replica of McQueen's famous Metisse framed Triumph TR6. They are building 300 copies at $23k a piece. Said to be an exact duplicate down to the nickel plated MKIII frames, Mc Queen's "western style" handlebars, and the exact shade of battleship grey paint. Vinatge TR6 motors are refurbished with the correct Amal monobloc carb and unsilenced exhaust.
