Guess ignorance is bliss, have super nuts on 41 FL, 77 FL and 81 FXB and they’ve worked as advertised.

I read those articles Bob and as I said earlier, I wish I knew exactly what to believe. I know for sure that I was disappointed big-time with the MoCo's ill conceived pivot to a more 'rainbow friendly' corporate structure. If that's the direction they want to take... fine but they'll have to get along without my support. And I know for sure that I'm not gonna rush out and buy a new Indian just because of some supposedly "right wing" propaganda campaign. And that's about all I know.Originally posted by BigLakeBob View PostIndian Motorcycle Launches Attack Ad On Harley-Davidson. All But Confirms Right-Wing PR Campaign Reporting

Not to change the subject but one other thing puzzles me. One of the articles starts out this way...
"The internet is forever, folks, and you'd best remember that. Why, because what you say, write, or do can live on for all of eternity, as everything is saved, everything is backed up, and nothing is truly deleted."
I'm not saying that isn't true, but if it is true, where do I find all the posts and pics from the old caimag forum? I think that a lot of the stuff I care about is gone forever no matter what they say.

Clark, I'm as clueless as you on what to believe. I just posted those links to forward general so called 'information' (articles) and everyone can decide for themselves on what they think is true. What is true anymore with AI taking over so much so quickly? If everything is out there forever, where is it and why can't we view the old caimag forum stuff, I agree. 30 years ago most of us didn't have a pc let alone a smart phone (not even heard of yet) so who is to say things will live on forever on the net. We won't live long enough to see. Let's go ride and enjoy now!

You can find a fair amount of stuff on the internet archive: https://web.archive.org/ I went there, went to web sites, and typed in "Classic American Iron" and found the caimag website. I was able to look back into the early 2000's. Here's a direct link to the April 21, 2008 page as a random day: https://web.archive.org/web/20080421...mag.com/forum/Originally posted by droptopford View Postbut if it is true, where do I find all the posts and pics from the old caimag forum? Near the top of the page you can scroll forward and backward through time to find days and years you might be interested in.

Yes... Thanks Eric! I will look into that. I'll be satisfied when I find the page in the Old Photos of the Day section that shows an American G.I. on his motorcycle and a 'local' gal standing next to it. Someone on that site added a caption... something about a Hershey Bar. That page was always good for a laugh and I miss it dearly!

That's it Cotten! That second pic is the one I was thinking of. Can't believe you found it.
There were several comments accompanying that pic and the one about the 'Hershey Bar' made my day and many days to follow. Stupid I know but as Larry the Cable guy used to say... "That's funny right there now I don't care who y'are"

It did take thirteen minutes between your post and mine, DropTop,Originally posted by droptopford View PostThat's it Cotten! That second pic is the one I was thinking of. Can't believe you found it....
But only because I can't afford AI.
If we can somehow return to topic, someone will have to explain how the modern company is in any way relevant to our hobby.
